Aims and Scope
Current Chinese Science: Nanotechnology publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to nanotechnology in China, while contributions from abroad are also welcome.
Current Chinese Science: Nanotechnology is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the field. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submission in the following areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:
Nanoelectronics and molecular electronics
Nanoscale modeling and simulations
Synthesis, characterization and manipulation of nanomaterials
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Kings College, University of Cambridge (1968), has 1235 international publications in several fields of organic chemistry including 349 books published largely by major U.S. and European presses. He was elected as Fellow of Royal Society (London)
(2006) and won the prestigious UNESCO Science Prize (1999). Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman was appointed Academician (Foreign Member) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2015). He won the “Friendship Award of China” (2014) and was conferred the highest scientific award of China, the International Science & Technology Cooperation Award, by President Xi Jinping (2020). He was bestowed with the International Scientific Corporation Award (2014) and the “Einstein Professorship” by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) (2013). He was conferred honorary D.Sc. by University of Cambridge and appointed an Honorary Life Fellow of Kings College, University of Cambridge. The Austrian government has honoured him with its highest civil award (“Grosse Goldene Ehrenzeischen am Bande") (2007). He is Professor Emeritus at University of Karachi, Pakistan.
